House of Stella

O’More College of Design (my alma mater) is holding their 14th annual student fashion show tonight at the factory in Franklin. Doors open at 7:15 and the show starts at 8 p.m. It really makes me reminisce a bit about my O’More days and especially about the fashion show. That was the reward at the end of the year for one to show off their skills in a runway setting. The designers have worked hard for months illustrating, pattern making, and constructing their garments and I wish them all the best of luck tonight. You may even see an item or two from House of Stella on the designers *hint hint* Sorry, I had to throw some self promotion in there somewhere.  Anyways, go support our local fashion designers and you may even hear their names again someday!

The Ravenwood High School fashion show is tonight and yours truly is going to be one of the judges. I wish when I was in high school we had a fashion design class. That may have helped me in my first years of design school. I am so impressed that some high schools are offering fashion design as part of their curriculum. It is always fun to see young designers in the making and hopefully they will carry it into their future. It is definitely a part of my life I never want to go away. The runway show is going to be held in the Ravenwood High School Auditorium Saturday the 28th at 7:00 PM. Hope to see you there and good luck to all of the designers!
